How to setup Iprojection for Chromebook?

Before you set up the Epson iProjection app, make sure that both your Chromebook and Epson projector are connected to the same network. See your projector documentation for more information on connecting your product to a network.

  1. On your Chromebook, install the Epson iProjection app from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click the Launcher Alternate Text
  3. Click the Epson iProjection Alternate Text icon.

    You will then see this screen:

  4. Enter your projector’s IP address in the box and click Search.
    Note:

    If you don’t know your projector’s IP address, press the LAN button or the Home button on the projector’s remote control to display it.


  5. Select your projector from the list and click Join.

  6. Select the display that you want to project and click Share.

Your Chromebook’s display is now mirrored by the projector. Anything that you do on your Chromebook is also shown by your projector.

When you’re done, click the Epson iProjection Alternate Text icon in the Chrome OS app shelf, click Leave, and then click Yes to end the session and stop mirroring your Chromebook display.

What type of content can I display using Epson iProjection for Chromebook?

You can display the following:

  • Content in a Google Chrome browser
  • Content from Google Drive
  • Google apps such as Sheets, Docs, and Slides

Can I stream or send audio over the network using Epson iProjection for Chromebook?

No, Epson iProjection for Chromebook does not support audio.

Can I be the Moderator from a Chromebook when using Epson iProjection for Chromebook?

No, the Moderator function is not available on Chromebooks. The Moderator function is available on Windows or Mac computers with the EasyMP Multi PC Projection software installed.

Can I control the projector from my Chromebook while using Epson iProjection for Chromebook?

No, the projector cannot be controlled with the Epson iProjection for Chromebook app. However, most networked projectors can be controlled with a web browser.
